Unusual freestanding sorcerers mirror (similar to a ‘Magiscope’)
Mirror is 6 inches diameter
Base is adjustable, so approx 18 inches minimum, and 22 inches maximum
Purchased from a vintage boutique in Switzerland - I don’t know anything about the backstory. Appears to have been made in the second half of the 20th century. Similar to the ‘Magiscopes’ made by Brazilian artist Feliciano Bejar, whereas Bejar’s lenses were clear, this is mirrored. The base is nice and sturdy, well made.
The mirror is nicely foxed, with a little damaged (not ugly) in places around the edge.
