A remarkable piece - I’ve never seen another. The frame has been hand crafted to form a continuation of the image depicted in the print - created with plaster (I think) that has achieved a metallic finish. I have not taken the print out of the frame, so unable to give you details on that, but it is clear that it is the original print for the frame. There is a label on the back that appears to be a book publisher active in the 1870s in Coblenz, Germany - I haven’t been able to find any more information beyond that. I haven’t done anything to this piece - I haven’t even dusted it. Condition is beautifully shabby.
