An early 19th century Staffordshire Pearlware Satyr (or Bacchus) jug
(Approx 16cm high)
A very early piece with some wear. There is a crack to the rim, spout and handle, chip to the spout and two to the footrim, please see photographs.
I love this piece, more subtle than his orange lustre smaller sibling also currently listed. An intriguing and knowing expression on this Satyr. His age is obvious but he wears it well.
