Antique Victorian Sorcerers Mirror circa 1850 (SOLD)
Fabulous antique Victorian bubble glass mirror plateau, commonly known as a Sorcerers Mirror.
9 inch diameter (approx. 230mm)
Made around 1850, circular shaped, and framed by a multitude of built-in/under glass individual small convex bubble mirrors. Enhanced by a smooth beveled edge, protective metal ring around edge, footed metal back with three short feet. Later framed in a beautiful ebonised wooden frame.
Wear and tear commensurate with age and use. Lots of light scratches on surface of mirror (see last image) - I’m sure these could be polished out with the right equipment. A few deeper scratches. scuffs, and typical antique character. Please bear in mind, price reflects condition.
